Printemps Quilt Pattern - Abby Maed

The Printemps Quilt is a block-based design that incorporates traditional quilt elements, sawtooth stars, into a modern aesthetic. "Printemps" translates to "springtime" in French and the design is inspired by the spring season of renewal and fresh growth. The cover quilt colors move from the browns of seeds and wintering plants to the soft creams and pinks of new shoots and buds to the rich greens of abundant growth. And the design busts forth from the center of each block like a flower in bloom. This pattern is written for a confident beginner and perfect for all levels of quilters to show off your favorite fat quarter bundle or ombré palette. This design includes three different colorway versions. The Cover Version uses a combination of fat quarters and yardage with 3 colors plus background in each block. The Fat Quarter Version uses fat quarters for all colors plus background yardage with 4 colors (plus background) in each block. The Color Limited Version uses yardage and includes 2 colors plus background. The pattern includes instructions for 4 sizes: Baby (40" x 40"), Throw (60" x 60"), Twin (68" x 88"; can also be made as a large throw measuring 60" x 80" if borders are left off), Queen (88" x 88").
